Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of television series. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled their home country to the US and were granted refugee status to remain. She is the middle sister of two sisters, and was born to a young age in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on the television industry by appearing on several National Commercials. Ghanizada was awarded the award in recognition of her role in Chiara who was the lead character in Laura Neri's 2004 movie A Kiss on the Nose. Her television credits include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Psych and Castle. Recently, Ghanizada played in the independent comedy You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009. She also appeared in the science-fiction action film Blood Shot. Ghanizada started her acting career in 2008 when she joined the cast for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season two of Nightshift she played holistic specialist Dr. Saira Bastra. Ghanizada was cast in the role of Kelly the Prada salesgirl in HBO Entourage. In 2009, she was a part of The Tough Trade pilot from Weeds' creator Jenji Cohan, and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
